With the biggest slate of DC superheroes ever on the network, we’ve been wondering just how many episodes each series will have for the 2016-2017 season on The CW, especially now that Supergirl has moved to the network.
At today’s CW panel during the Television Critics Association summer press tour, CW president Mark Pedowitz finally answered this question.
The Flash, premiering its third season on Tuesday, October 4, will consist of 22 episodes.
Arrow, with season five kicking off on Wednesday, October 5, will also consist of 22 episodes.
Supergirl, debuting on The CW with its second season on Monday, October 10, will contain 22 episodes.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, beginning its second season on Thursday, October 13, will be made up of 13 episodes (Pedowitz pointed out that additional episodes may potentially be ordered for Legends of Tomorrow, but that hasn’t happened quite yet).
In addition, it was announced that iZombie, the series from DC’s Vertigo imprint, will also contain 13 episodes during its third season.
