Your 2017 Grammy Awards Broadcast Primer

Tonight CBS will host the 59th annual Grammy awards and we’re here to prepare you for the evening’s festivities.   The show is going to be hosted by none other than “The Late Late Show” host James Corden, and kicks off at 8pm EST.   CBS will air the award show, with E! News and the Grammy Awards’ website, Grammy.com, providing additional coverage before and after the ceremony.  E! is doing their well-known red carpet coverage at 7pm but pre awards coverage begins as early as 4:30pm on E!.   Red carpet coverage on CBS will commence at 7:30pm EST.

Beyonce is the front runner heading into the show with 9 award nominees.  She’s followed by Rihanna, Kanye and Drake, who each grabbed eight nominations at the award show, and Chance the Rapper, who earned seven.  Also, remember the name Sturgill Simpson folks.  He was on SNL earlier this year and his star is rising.  He’s performing tonight and it can only mean good things for his career.  He’s amazing live.

Here’s how you can watch

CBS over the air or via cable or satellite or the CBS All Access streaming service. CBS All Access requires a subscription, but new users can get a seven-day trial of CBS service for free. CBS’s service with commercials goes for $6 per month; without commercials, it’s $10 per month. More coverage, including red carpet coverage, is available on Grammy.com and on E! Online and on the E!
