Disney will always be considered one of the best stories with regard to the rise of any company ever. It’s not often a company can say it’s whole success was thanks to an animated mouse. But if it weren’t for Walt Disney creating Mickey, the domination of Disney wouldn’t even exist today. Obviously Mr. Disney took things a hell of a lot further as the company created numerous characters, movies, products, theme parks, and about 7 million things I haven’t even mentioned to make it the successful giant it is today.
But even decades after its characters first appeared on screen there are still things we don’t know about them. For example, did you know that Goofy was originally known as “Dippy Daw” and it was a 1938 book titled “The Story of Dippy the Goof” that prompted the name change to Goofy? I’ll bet you didn’t.
