10 Things You Didn’t Know about Justin Hartley

It’s kind of hard to believe that Justin Hartley is in his early 40s, but it’s easy to see how women tend to think he’s such a heartthrob since he does have the kind of good looks that would make him the type of guy that many women would just throw themselves at. Plus, on screen he seems to be a pretty decent person and tends to take on roles that make him into a pretty good guy. Even a couple of roles he’s taken that might paint him as less of a caring soul aren’t all that bad since he just kind of has the look of someone that might want to be friendly rather than get aggressive. That being said he’s managed to convince a lot of people about the veracity of his acting skills since he’s been in some of the most influential spots in TV as of late and has done his part to make sure said shows went off without a hitch.

Here are a few other things you might not have known about Justin.

10. He’s been a couple different characters as far as the DC universe goes.

Justin has played Green Arrow and Aquaman at different times in the DC universe and has pulled them both off pretty well to be honest. Obviously he gave up both roles eventually but the fact that he was picked for them in the first place was something of a boost to his career.

9. Justin is a fan of professional wrestling.

You can laugh at it, follow it, and deride it all you want and pro wrestling is still a lot of fun so long as you don’t get completely bogged down by the story lines since the whole show is pretty much staged and made into a fun bit of entertainment. So long as people understand that it becomes little more than a male soap opera.

8. He was very much into sports back in high school.

Justin was something of a jock back in his day as he enjoyed a fairly wide variety of sports. In fact you could say that he still enjoys them but obviously acting took over his professional interests and his athletic aspirations are a way to have fun and get some exercise.

7. Justin was the first person to play a live version of Green Arrow.

Steven Amell would take over eventually but it was Justin that brought the character to life first on Smallville. Between the two men though it does seem like Amell does have the better look when it comes the arrogant manner that Oliver Queen is well known for in the comics.

6. He’s not a fan of sitting around feeling sorry for oneself.

This is a great way to be since sitting around and bemoaning your life and what you don’t have is kind of a waste of time when you have every opportunity to get up and make something of your life and make certain that you can find whatever it is you want to do. There’s no point just sitting around and wondering why life hasn’t given you a break yet, especially if you haven’t earned it.

5. Justin has been wanting to direct for a while.

Part of it has to do with the fact that he wants to be able to sit behind the camera and direct others in a way that he feels would be useful, another part though is that he doesn’t care for directors that want their actors to produce but will give them horrible advice.

4. He’s very close with his family.

In geographic terms it doesn’t sound like he’s close with all of his family members but he’s stated that the moment that one of them is in trouble or needs the rest of them they tend to gravitate towards that person for support. That’s pretty nice to hear since no matter what family needs to be there for family as much as possible.

3. His social media following is pretty substantial.

At this point he’s got well over a million followers. This seems like it would keep anyone busy on a day to day basis just making sure that he updates his accounts and posts to let people know what’s going on. That sounds kind of exhausting.

2. Justin’s net worth is around $7 million.

So obviously Justin has managed to become worth a good amount and he’s done enough in his career to be seen as someone that has amassed enough fame and notoriety to be considered not elite, but definitely talented.

1. He was in a soap opera at one point.

It kind of sounds like this is where he started out, which seems kind of typical of a lot of people since soaps and modeling seem to be big draws for new talent looking to get into acting.

He’s a talented guy that knows his way around, that’s for certain.
