Dominik Garcia-Lorido may not be a household name, but she’s had a solid career nonetheless. She made her first on-screen appearance in 1995, and although that was her only acting job in the 1990s, she started to work most consistently in the early 2000s. Some of her roles have been on the smaller side, but she’s also made some significant appearances. She is probably best known for playing Mercedes Lazaro in the TV series Magic City and Mercedes Fellove in the movie The Lost City. Dominik doesn’t appear to have any projects in the works at the moment, but it seems likely that we’ll see her on our screens again at some point in the future. 1. She Was Born in Miami
Miami is a beautiful city known for its warm weather, beaches, and diverse culture. It’s also where Dominik was born. However, despite being originally from the Sunshine State, Dominik was primarily raised in the Los Angeles area, although she spent many of her summers in Miami, and she considers the city to be her second home.
2. She Has a Famous Father
Even if you’re not familiar with Dominik, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve heard of her father. Dominik is the daughter of award-winning actor Andy Garcia. Andy has been in the entertainment industry for well over 40 years. He is best known for several film roles, including The Untouchables and Stand and Deliver.
3. Dominik Garcia-Lorido Loves Fashion
There are plenty of people in the world who wear clothes simply because they have to. However, there are lots of other people who use their clothing as a means of self-expression. Dominik Garcia-Lorido is part of the latter group. She has a good eye for fashion, and she loves being able to share her personality with the world through her clothing.

4. She Is Married
Dominik’s father has always been very private, and this is something she has chosen to do too. However, one thing she has been fairly open about is her relationship with writer/director/actor Michael Doneger. Although we know the couple is married, it’s unclear exactly when they tied the knot. Michael has worked on several projects throughout his career, including an upcoming documentary on ESPN titled Fate of a Sport. The project will be released on August 29.
5. She Is Almost 40 Years Old
Dominik has a very youthful appearance, so many probably think she’s in her 20s. However, that isn’t the case at all. Dominik is currently 38 years old, and she’ll be turning 39 on August 16, 2022. I think it’s safe to say that she’ll be able to play younger characters for a bit longer.
6. She Went to UCLA
Having a famous father is definitely helpful when you’re trying to break into the entertainment industry, but Dominik hasn’t just relied on that. She has also done everything she could to learn about the craft. Although we know that Dominik attended UCLA, where she studied at the School of Theater, Film, and Television, we weren’t able to find any information on whether she graduated.

7. She Is a Dog Person
As far as we know, Dominik and her husband don’t have any children together. However, they haven’t let that stop them from experiencing the joys of parenthood. They are proud pet parents to an adorable dog named Rick. While it doesn’t look like Rick has his own social media accounts, he has certainly become the star of Dominik’s Instagram profile.
8. Dominik Garcia-Lorido Loves Basketball
We didn’t find any information to suggest that Dominik has ever played any sports, but we do know that she enjoys watching them. She is a big basketball fan, and her favorite team is the Los Angeles Lakers. Not only does she like watching games on TV, but she also likes to attend in person whenever she can.

Dominik doesn’t think of herself as an activist, but she is definitely the kind of person who isn’t afraid to take a stand when it comes to the things she believes in. She has used her platform to show her support for human rights issues such as the fight to end racism.

Dominik is best known for the work she’s done as an actress, but that isn’t the only area of the arts she’s participated in. She also started taking dance lessons when she was around three years old. These days, however, it appears that the only dancing she does is for fun.
