Young and the Restless fans know Lily is in a tough place right now trying to figure out what to do. She’s got a husband she’d like to make things work with, but his newborn baby is giving her problems. The baby didn’t do anything, but the baby does remind her that her husband lied, cheated, and impregnated another woman. She’s not happy when she looks at the baby, and it makes her feel as if she can’t bond with the baby. She knows this is a huge problem as she’s working on her marriage with Cane.
But Cane doesn’t realize this just yet. He knows Lily seems a little off right now, but he’s not sure why she seems so off. He is going to realize this very soon, though, and it’s going to be big deal. And now we have to face the facts — they might not work this out.
He knows she’s lying as of today, and she might cover that up with another lie or she might just tell him the truth. He will pick the baby over her, and she knows that. But she needs more time to figure out how she can handle this situation and what it all means for her. She’s confused, and she’s upset, and she’s working on things she never thought she’d have to work on. She’s not happy with herself right now, and she knows this is all a problem for her and for Cane — and she knows it’s a problem for their kids.
