Young and the Restless fans are not happy that things turned out the way they did for Jack. He’s been working so hard on his life and what he wants from his own future, and it’s all been turned around and made into a mess for him. He’s has the worst time of his life. He’s now going to turn into a total monster who cannot get his life together, and no one can blame him. But, he’s letting this get to him a lot more than we think he needs to. It’s not like his life is changed from the history forward. Sure, he’s learned that his father is not his father — but realistically we wonder what this really means.
A man who raised a son until he reached this age is family. There’s no way that he’s not family. An entire family doesn’t just give up on a person after decades and decades and decades and more decades of being family because they learn this secret this late in life. It’s not how it works. And it’s not how it will play out for him — but it probably will. Why? Because money. Money is the ruler and the maker and the taker in this situation.
Jack will find that his life will never be the same all because of money. This situation will make him miserable, but we do think that his totally bad attitude about it all is going to be a problem as well. It’s ugly, and things will not get better for anyone. And that’s not going to change the way anyone else feels.
He has his demons to deal with now that his mother has shared this secret, but it’s time for him to deal. It’s not his job to sit back and allow everyone and everything to fall apart at his feet. It’s his job to sit down and allow someone to make it right for him. Things might not be as good as he would like them to be, but that doesn’t mean they have to be sad and upsetting.
