Young and the Restless fans know that Billy wants his ex-wife back in his life. He and Victoria have children, they have a history, and they have a passion for one another they’ve lost in the past few months. They’ve been finding it again, and he seems to want her back in a big way. So we were all a little shocked when he ended up in bed with Phyllis at the end of a particularly bad day and a few too many drinks a few weeks ago. She’s someone with whom he is familiar, so that’s not a big shock, but he seems to be sticking around longer than the one night we gave him to work with her. Now that they are in this situation, is there maybe a little something else going on?
We have a suspicion that Billy is not all that interested in Phyllis. We know he’s been working hard to make amends with Victoria and get back into her own life and their old ways, so why is he suddenly making promises to Phyllis that they’ll be together and live happily ever after? We have a sneaking suspicion that he needs something from her, and that he will do whatever it takes at the moment to get it back. What it is, we don’t know. All we know is there is a chance these two have some serious stuff going on and we want to find out what it is.
We also think that Phyllis might be on to him. She’s not entirely sure the words he’s speaking seem sincere, and she’s also questioning other people about what they know about Billy. She seems not to trust him, and we seem to feel that’s a good thing at the moment. She’s got something he wants, or at least access to something he wants, and that’s why he is making such a big deal about spending time with her and pacifying her with what she seems to believe are empty promises. We see it, and we believe it. And we have a feeling this is going to be something interesting.
