If there’s one career path I don’t think any of us could have predicted it’s that of Neil Patrick Harris. As most of you know many child stars wind up being pretty messed up individuals and only a small portion wind up making it big as adults. Neil Patrick Harris has had an interesting road to say the least. As a child star he wooed us with his Doogie Howser and we loved the concept of a show that featured a teenage doctor who was smarter than everyone but still struggled trying to maintain his youth. The show was fun, fresh, witty, and had a killer theme song.
But then we lost Patrick Harris for what felt like an eternity. Who would have known that Harold and Kumar would have resurrected his career and eventually land him a role on How I Met Your Mother? After his role as Barney Stinson, the rest as they say, is history.
Patrick Harris is one of the most respected actors out there today both in television as well as on the stage. He’s now hosting awards shows, has an incredible relationship with his husband, and people are always wondering what his next project will be.
But that’s not what this is all about. This is about sending you off into the weekend with the Doogie Howser theme. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
