Young and the Restless fans have some best friendships to discuss. We do go on and on about the people who are not friends, the total amount of drama, and the issues that everyone has with one another, but we rarely go on about how good these people can be. There are positives in Genoa City, even when things don’t seem to look that way. There might not be many friendships that seem good around here since everyone is always looking out for their own needs and their own situations, and their own problems. They do, almost always, go after one another to get what they want, and they don’t really seem to have any issues throwing others under the bus, but there are some friendships there that almost work — even if they seem strange to us.
Mariah and Sharon
This mother/daughter duo is a dynamic one. They are both dry and humorous. They are both strong women, and they both do what they need to do to make their lives good. They are the kind of women who look out for one another, and they always protect one another in every manner imaginable. They are the kind of mother/daughter duo who help one another when they can, and they never back down from things that aren’t working. They are the best of friends on top of being family, and they do anything for one another. But, we can count on the fact that they will always do right by one another, and there is not one person in the world who will come between them. They have one another’s backs every manner possible. And that is what makes them the best of the best. We love them.
Victoria and Nikki
They are another mother/daughter duo, but they are nowhere near as close as others. They are not like Sharon or Mariah. And there are few people who are going to come between them, but they always have one another’s back if you get down to it. They have one another in a way that not many do, and they are always there for one another. She might not get into her mother’s business and vice versa, and Victoria might not always tell her mother what is going on in her life, but they always find a way to be there for one another. Nikki did just kill a man — even if he did end up not being dead — to protect her daughter and her life after he physically abused her, and they even kept this secret together. This was a major moment for them, but they did seem to make it work. They are closer than most, but they don’t always share everything. Despite that, however, they will always find a way to make sure the other is taken care of, things are met, and needs are taken care of. They are a rather dynamic duo in comparison to some of the other people around here.
Nick and Phyllis
Go ahead and hear us out on this one. They are almost always back in one another’s life even when they should not be. They have a lot of issues to face with one another, and we do get that. They have some issues that they cannot face on their own. They have some differences, and they can go for a long time without even speaking to one another. But, they do have some big issues that they go through together, and they almost always work together to get what they want. They always end up back in bed together even though they know — and we all know — that there is not a moment that they will ever be together in a way that is good for them. They have some sort of amazing understanding that works for them, and we love that about them. They are great together as friends, and we love that. They make some big choices, and they do some big things, but we love them. They might not be your traditional best friends, but they are good enough for us. And that is something special. We like them together in their weird and strange friendship.
