While Stephen Colbert continued to harp on Trump’s Healthcare plan and will eventually take a look at a small peek of his 2005 tax return, the bigger story of the night involved Rex Tillerson. The Secretary of State is the latest member of the Trump administration to have been caught using email in a way that could be considered “questionable” at best. Tillerson used an email alias at Exxon to discuss climate change. If there’s one thing you want to keep quiet as one of Trump’s crew, it’s definitely climate change. No need to worry about being racist or sexist. Just make sure those climate change talks are on the down low.
The best part of the story was that instead of using the name Rex Tillerson he used the alias Wayne Tracker. Colbert pointed out that you really shouldn’t be allowed to have two manly cowboy names. If you’re going to use an alias you should probably use something like Mel Dampler if one of your names is already cool. Exxon Mobil says that the Wayne Tracker email address wasn’t used to hide climate change discussions. As Colbert points out, Wayne Tracker is a great name for any successful romance novelist. So naturally Stephen decided to whip out Tillerson’s book.
In this video, Stephen reads a passage from Secretary of State Rex Tillerson or, should we say, Wayne Tracker’s secret journal.
