Ryan Reynolds isn’t just in the running for the world’s best son after his latest move—he’s leading the pack.
The “Deadpool” actor was recently spotted in the audience of the June 10 taping of The View, accompanied by his mom Tammy Reynolds. As soon as Whoopi Goldberg noticed their arrival, she exclaimed, Oh, snap! That’s Ryan Reynolds.
Goldberg then asked how their presence at the show came about, to which Reynolds responded that his mom was visiting her grandchildren. He said, I try to do what she says because you don’t know what she’s capable of—just unspeakable violence my whole life,
adding a humorous touch as always.
Reynolds further explained that he didn’t want to taste the back of her hand
, so he made sure to get her tickets. Using wife Blake Lively‘s connections, he identified himself as Blake’s husband
to secure a spot in the audience.
Tammy revealed that she watches The View religiously every day and that she had even set it to record back home in Vancouver while she was away. Her dedication made the moment even more special when Goldberg invited her to take her seat for the closing line of the show. Tammy concluded the episode with a heartfelt message while Goldberg watched proudly: Have a great day, everyone, and take a little time to enjoy the view.
This sweet gesture not only showcased Ryan’s appreciation for his mother’s dreams but also added another entertaining chapter to his public persona. Known for films like “Van Wilder“, he’s always kept audiences laughing both on and off-screen. As noted in an earlier instance, when asked if he needed anything during an interview, he wittily replied, Glass of water? Vietnamese prostitute? The room service here is really good.
