In what is by far the least surprising news of the day, Sean Spicer tells the press that Donald Trump will not be watching The Oscars this year. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said on Wednesday that Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will probably be focused on “hosting the Governors Ball that night.”
Spicer was asked about the ceremony given the expectation that Hollywood celebrities will use the platform to speak out on Trump’s presidency. Meryl Streep spoke about Trump at the Golden Globe Awards, and Trump responded on Twitter by calling her “overrated.”
Spicer did admit that the awards show tends to skew to the far left. Oh, you think so Doctor? Do ya think Donald Trump is going to be tuning in to something where 90% of the comments are in some way going to be directed towards him? While he may claim he’s not going to watch it “live” I’m guessing he’ll have some people edit out all the bad parts and try to get shots of people like Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughan to look at.
And if I’m a betting man I think there’s a 100% chance you see something from Donald’s twitter account the night of the Oscars. Honestly it’s anyone’s guess what it’ll be, but it’ll be there.
