Ozark Renewed for Season 2 on Netflix: What Will Happen?

Ozark Renewed for Season 2 on Netflix: What Will Happen?

If you’ve been watching this show then you already know it’s one of the more messed up series on Netflix as of now. It’s got more twists in it than the average French braid and each one leads to a deadly place that you don’t want to contemplate. But somehow Marty, the main character and the only guy you might feel is worth rooting for at this point, is managing to keep his head just above water and still attached to his shoulders. How much longer that might be is anyone’s guess, but chances are that if anyone’s going to go it will be the people around him that suffer first. Marty still has a lot of value to those he’s dealing with, but how long that will last is hard to fathom.

Here are just a few things we should be able to expect in the coming season.

5. We haven’t heard the last of Rachel.

You remember Rachel? Marty’s business partner? I think it’s safe to say that she wants to cut ties with Marty after all that’s happened, especially considering that she has a few million it looks like in her car and no intentions of coming back. However that is a lot of money to just run off with. Whether it’s Marty, the cartel, or both that track her down, I think we can assume that Rachel will be back in one way or another.

4. The Snells are going to be sorry for killing Del.

I don’t think they’re going to show remorse, not at all. The old woman doesn’t have the heart for anything approaching remorse. But given that Del was high enough up on the food chain of the cartel to make this kind of a deal, they might regret pulling that trigger and essentially blowing his face across the room.

3. Despite their loyalty, Marty’s family are still going to have problems.

He’s been trying to keep them safe and doing a miserable job of it, but Marty’s heart is the right place at least. He doesn’t want his family involved any longer but they aren’t willing to just let him go at this point. Despite their issues they mean to stick together.

2. The cartel is going to be an issue.

When it gets to the point that Del is presumed missing and/or dead, the cartel might very well send someone that’s just as bad if not worse. This person might not be willing to listen to Marty and could consider the Snells just a roadblock that needs to be removed. Would any of us really be sad about the latter part?

1. The Snells are going to start pressuring Marty even harder.

As far as they’re concerned the deal is still on the table, as least this is what it sounds like. They don’t want their profits or their distribution messed with, and Marty knows how to put a very big kink in their plans, or can show they how to best keep their operation and run it with even greater efficiency. Marty has become kind of a boon and a threat to their business all at once, but they’re banking heavily on the former while tending to scoff at the latter. That might be a mistake on their part.

There’s no word yet on when season two will come out, but those of that have seen season one are already on pins and needles.
