Cryer recalls how their tryst ended fairly quickly, and he didn’t realize Moore was using drugs until about two weeks before the film wrapped. He describes her as having a charismatic spark that completely fooled him. Demi knew everyone in town and came off as super charming while dealing with her own set of demons, Cryer shared.

The two actors reconnected last night at the premiere of BRATS, a documentary about the legendary “Brat Pack.” This group included young ’80s actors who starred in iconic films like The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s Fire.

Moore starred in the latter film, though not before going to rehab at the request of director Joel Schumacher. Once out, she managed to stay sober for nearly 20 years before relapsing, according to her memoir.

Demi Moore wasn’t the only Brat Pack member to struggle with addiction. Others, including Robert Downey Jr., Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, and Ally Sheedy, also entered rehab for their substance abuse issues.

The BRATS documentary highlights these complicated journeys and premieres on June 13 on Hulu.
