I Carved A Unique Lamp Out Of An African Fruit

Have you ever noticed how things look bellow water surface? Weird and distorted? It’s due to the refraction of light. I live by the beautiful lake Ohrid and this effect was always interesting to me. It inspired me to make a beautiful lamp about it.

I used a dried gourd from Mali (Africa) for the head and a black walnut for the neck and the base.
