Remember that really weird time that Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson signed a toaster? Yeah, he was signing autographs in early March and guess what? The Warriors have won 11 straight games since then. At the time Klay made the exact face a player should probably make when signing a toaster but little did he know this special fan would bring such great fortune to his team.
And guess what? Demar DeRozan also signed a toaster earlier this week and his team (The Toronto Raptors) won their next game. So far teams with players who have signed toasters have a 12-0 record this season. Is this is coincidence? There’s no way. If I’m an NBA team right now I’m paying people to bring their toasters to the stadium so my stars can sign these things.
In fact, I’m calling for a “toaster” night at the Garden. Well, that and a “let’s publicly” hang James Dolan in front of the entire world night. The Warriors look unstoppable right now and this is without Kevin Durant in uniform.
There’s a slight chance he plays before the season is over but he’s looking strong to quite strong for the playoffs. If anyone’s going to beat the Warriors in the west, I suggest they get to toaster signing pronto.
