The Game of Thrones spinoffs that most people are already expecting are bound to be big-budget since HBO has no intention of going small. Thanks to the success of the current show, which will wrap up following the next season, the spinoffs are all but guaranteed to happen as the ideas of who to bring in as the directors for each new show and what direction to go in has already begun. One thing that is certain is that HBO has considered its position and has agreed that it would be negligent on their part to not go ahead with any further stories once the series is concluded. It would be like leaving out a big chunk of a world that was created to amaze people simply because it exists in the historical past of that same world. This way people will get to see how the world they’ve come to know and love was formed and possibly how the great houses were given their current stature.
The original budget that was given to GoT when it first got started will no longer cut it as the executives at HBO want to go big or go home, and they’re not planning on wrapping up anything and going home just yet. They want to see at least up to five spinoffs and they want to see each one match the budget of the show as it currently stands. This means that the spinoffs would be grand occasions that would be designed to thrill and amaze the people who have grown so fond of this series, and possibly introduce them to old favorites as they were when they were younger or go even further back and discover just how the mighty houses were first created. Right now the ideas that are up in the air are have not been decided upon yet, but the fans can be well-assured that GoT’s legacy won’t be left to waver in the cold winds blowing down from the north.
As of right now people are simply awaiting the next season to arrive, and with it the supposed end of Westeros as we know it as the Night King and his army of wights march upon the Seven Kingdoms. The trouble that the Night King is bringing is going to seriously upset the already imbalanced landscape and possibly bring forth the kind of hardship and turmoil that will force the survivors to look to one another for aid yet again until such time as politics and in-fighting pull them apart once more. There have already been table reads for the show and since the actors were not given the scripts until that moment the shock and surprise on their part was very real it’s been reported, and the death toll is at this time said to be surprising as all the way until the last line the tears continued to mount up.
That alone should tell you that GoT is going to be nothing short of epic when the next season comes around.
