Five Things You Didn’t Know about Sutton Foster

Five Things You Didn’t Know about Sutton Foster

What are some of the things that you might not know about Sutton Foster, one of the stars of the break out show Younger that airs on TV Land? There are actually a lot of things she could probably turn into a story that would be more than interesting enough to hold almost anyone’s attention, but below are five of the most unique things about her and her life.

1. Talent runs in the family

Foster’s older brother, Hunter, was nominated for a Tony Award, something that she herself is quite familiar with, as she has now been nominated six different times and won on two separate occasions. Obviously, talent runs in the family. Despite that fact, a lot of people that have only watched her on Younger don’t really know that she has such an extensive acting background.

2. She’s acted on Broadway

She’s been in several different productions, not the least of which includes “Anything Goes” and “Little Women.” Clearly, this is not something that she’s exactly new to doing. In fact, she could arguably say that she has more acting experience on Broadway than anywhere else. This is a claim that most people would practically kill to be able to make, so it is definitely an accomplishment that is worth being proud of.

3. High school was different for her

While at least part of her high school career might have been considered relatively normal, her senior year was anything but routine. At the time, she was acting in the “Will Rogers Follies” so she wasn’t able to attend classes like the other students. She didn’t want to give up her acting career, nor did she want to essentially fail to finish high school, especially given the fact that it was her senior year. Therefore, she took correspondence classes to complete her studies and graduate with her other classmates, despite her inability to physically be in the classroom at the time.

4. She believes in adoption

Her daughter, Emily, is adopted. Her and her husband made the decision to adopt her and raise her as their own daughter a few years ago.

5. She can dance, but she also falls

Foster is capable of performing some rather complicated dance moves, as she regularly does for her theatrical projects. However, she also broke her arm while rehearsing “The Drowsy Chaperone.” The funny part about the whole incident was that the song playing at the time was “I’m An Accident Waiting To Happen.” This is a perfect example of the relationship between life and art. It also goes to show that just because someone is a skilled actress and dancer, that doesn’t necessarily mean that they are always light on their feet.

Foster is about to make her season 4 debut on Younger. Who knows what types of projects she will be involved with in the future? Whatever she does, there is every chance that it will be something interesting. In addition, she has gained a tremendous fan following through starring in this particular show, and these fans are likely to follow her through all of her future projects.
