Demi Adejuyigbe is what would be called a Twitter star since he managed to get noticed thanks to his works on social media and the odd way he’s managed to create so many different clips for people to watch. It’s not mean to say that most anyone can possibly become a star online if they just try but sometimes it seems as though the most outlandish tend to get noticed first. While he’s not among the worst stars on the internet to ever come along he’s definitely one of those that makes you scratch your head as you’re trying to figure him out.
Seriously, the rise of the internet has done a lot more than just make life a little more accessible.
5. He co-created a Gilmore Guys podcast.
It almost seems like every other person on the planet has a podcast these days but his seems fairly popular since he’s kind of off the wall and just does whatever comes to mind. Plus people seem to tune in to these podcasts so maybe something he’s saying is worth listening to. Or it could be the lemming theory that many people seem to ascribe to, as in if one person does it, then ten, then one hundred, then more and more will keep joining in.
4. He was born in London.
He was born there but then moved to Texas with his family where he stayed until he was finished with college. A lot of people move great distances but from London to Texas is quite the stretch both geographically as well as culturally. It’d be interesting to know if he was too young to remember much of London or if he really had to make a few adjustments when his family reached Texas.
3. He’s a social media star.
If you haven’t figured it out by now Demi is a big hit on social media where he holds court on his own channel and produces his own stuff. He’s been a Twitter star and he’s been on the Vine where so many other kooky creators and sensations come from. Vine has gotten a rather bad reputation though since a lot of it seems to be stupid kids doing stupid things. Demi isn’t stupid by any means but some of the stuff he does make people look at him askance.
2. He’s got a very odd sense of humor.
Anyone that buys enough copies of Click to fill the entire upper shelf of a bookshelf has a rather weird sense of humor. It’s not bad, but it’s most definitely odd and not at all what some folks would call normal. Maybe that’s the quality that allows him to be a social media star though, he doesn’t conform to whatever normal is and goes his own way. That’s certain how one can stand out from a crowd.
1. He’s really into mashups.
Mashups are a lot of fun when they actually work. They’re even better when it seems that you have two things that shouldn’t work but do anyway when put together. This is one of the things that Demi is really into.
The internet seems to be making stars on a steady basis.
