With the amount of upcoming movies Disney has on its calendar sometimes it’s easy to forget that there are actually other businesses that Disney runs. Businesses that have made the company super successful well before they took over Lucasfilm and Marvel. Remember when Disney was just an animated company that had a couple little parks by the names of Disney World and Disneyland? Of course I’m being sarcastic in that Disney was massive well before it became even more massive by taking over the cinematic blockbuster universe.
Speaking of Disney World, the company has been extremely busy on that end. Not only did they just open the Pandora park to a rousing success but fans are eagerly anticipated a Star Wars themed park that’s slated to open in 2019. Even more recently is the additions they are making at Hollywood Studios, particularly in their “Toy Story Land.”
While we won’t know the opening date until this summer’s D23 Expo, I’m willing to bet it will open next summer. WDW News Today posted these photos (above), showing off the track for the Slinky Dog Dash Roller Coaster. Below you can also see a concept video that was released.
There is also a Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin ride at Hong Kong Disneyland, a caterpillar style ride.
2018 should be an unbelievable year for Disney.
