Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors and I happen to think he’s one of the best actors of all-time. For the most part Washington is known more for his serious acting and you rarely see him in a comedic role. While some of his characters have lent themselves to being humorous, Washington does drama as well if not better than anyone out there. But even the finest actors like Denzel Washington can’t take home every award and prize that should be coming to them.
While Washington is far and away the front runner for best actor this his for his role in Fences, even Denzel admitted that there were times he was upset when he lost at the Oscars. In fact so much so that he committed a petty crime. Denzel Washington once stole and entire platter of shrimp from the Oscars when he didn’t win. Yes, it’s true. The man who’s more serious than just about any actor actually took a platter of shrimp out of revenge.
Can you even imagine seeing this happen? Like did he go up to the platter people and say, “look man, I just lost an Oscar, give me my shrimp!” I can’t stop laughing at this. You can check out his whole story below:
