Days of Our Lives fans have so many questions about Gabi. She’s become one of those characters who cannot seem to get it together anymore, and we have to ask ourselves why. We might have a thought, too. We think that she’s been through so much in her life that has jaded her and hurt her. She was a young woman with a big heart and a kind soul, and the men in her life did a real number on her. She fell hard for all the wrong guys, and it made some big impacts on her life. She’s been a mess for a long time, and we thought we might go back and take a look at the relationships she’s had, how they might have affected her, and discuss which one finally put her over the edge. Will Horton
The thing about Will and Gabi and their short-lived fling is that they had always been such good friends. She fell really hard for him a long time ago, they tried it out, but it did not work. But, they didn’t have any sort of bitter end because they were, at the core of it, such good friends. The problem wasn’t her with this relationship. The problem here was that she was a woman who was with a man who didn’t know fully yet at the time that he was gay. And he was very gay, and she was not his type being a woman and all. However, their friendship took a turn many years ago when they were both having bad days — weeks, really — and slept together just so that they could release some tension. She became pregnant with their daughter, and her life changed forever at that point. We think this relationship has impacted her so much because of it.
Chad DiMera
She’s always had a bit of a thing for him, but he’s always had a girlfriend when she did. She fell so hard for him that she managed to convince herself they were so good for one another that nothing else mattered. Each and every single time, though, he’s chosen someone else over her. We thought, for a while, that something might be better when she seemed to be very much over him and with someone else, but she ended up falling back in love with him when his wife was believed to be dead in a plane crash. She was not, but that didn’t matter until she came back and she took her husband away from Gabi again. It was a big turning point to be chosen by him, but she was not. She was not chosen when it came down to her and another woman, and we think that this was impactful because she literally is never the woman for any man she’s with.
Stefan
They were so bad for one another, yet they have more chemistry than anyone else on the show. They were hot together, and she knew it. They didn’t even like one another, but they did like sleeping together. That turned into a business partnership of sorts in which they decided to get married. Then they did what we all saw coming from the start, and they fell hard for one another. They were so into one another that they could not even get past it, and it was a serious situation. We loved it, and we appreciated it, and we liked them together. But, then he died. He died trying to save his mother, and she went off the deep end more than ever. We think he’s impactful.
