Days of Our Lives fans will see that there is nothing going on that will shock anyone, but everyone is a little shocked to hear that Ben is going to be released in the near future. When Hope tells JJ about it, it will set off an ugly change of reaction. This is the young man who tried to take his sister’s life, and he was successful in changing the course of everyone’s lives at one point. He’s also the man who has been locked up in a mental institution he can just walk right out of and escape at a moment’s notice. He cannot seem to get his own life together at this point, but he also can’t seem to stay put. He’s been able to escape more than once, yet he’s out here trying to get free and be released?
We don’t pretend to understand the law in this city, but we do know that things will change for someone when this news is released. As if things for Abigail and Chad haven’t been bad enough — and Gabi for that matter — recently, they will learn that this is going to happen. Ben is not someone they want to show up and be back in their lives, but he’s on his way. And this is not the first time. This is just the one time he doesn’t have to find his own way out and make it happen himself. This is going to be a very interesting situation for everyone.
Ben is not someone anyone wants to see return in any capacity, but it’s not something that will change. He will come home, someone will decide he’s changed, something will change, everyone will panic, and he will be the answer to some people. It’s all going to work out, but we just don’t know how or when it will work out or what will happen in the meantime as he is released.
