The Bold and the Beautiful fans know that Ridge is not the kind of man who likes to have things happen to him when they are coming from Bill. These are two men who really hate one another. They can’t find one reason to want to be friends. They cannot find one reason to work together, to put the past behind them, or to grow up even a little. They do nothing but fight, bicker, and seek revenge, and most of the time what they are mad about isn’t even worthwhile. It’s all a little crazy and a little bit insane, and we can’t figure out what it is.
But right now, Ridge has an actual real reason to be mad at Bill. He slept with Ridge’s very married daughter, he caused her marriage to fall apart — though she is just as much to blame as he is — and now he’s issuing proposals to her and not taking her no as a final answer. Instead, he’s just taking it as a bit of a challenge.
He feels that he can wear her down or make her change her mind or something — and it’s all wrong in so many ways. What he’s doing is awful, it’s inappropriate, and it’s not all right. It’s horrible, but he won’t change his mind or his ways at all right now. So all we can do is assume that Ridge’s revenge plan will work to take down Bill once and for all and get him out of Steffy’s life.
