The Bold and the Beautiful might not be quite as long-running as some of the other soaps on the air, but that certainly doesn’t change the fact that fans love this show and they want to see more of it. Since it aired more than 30 years ago, it’s been one of the most interesting and entertaining shows around. We can’t wait to see what it has in store for fans over the next three decades, but we also wanted to take a look back at some of our favorite and most compelling story lines. The Entire Maya Saga
We all know that Maya has a very special place in the heart of so many. She’s a mother to her daughter, who is actually the biological daughter of her sister, Nicole, who offered to have a baby for her since her sister could not have one of her own. Many people who didn’t watch the show in the past didn’t know that Maya’s inability to have a baby of her own was not because of her infertility issues as they are for so many other women. She simply doesn’t produce eggs because she’s not a woman. Well, she is a woman now that she’s undergone surgery to turn her into a woman, but she was a man. In fact, she was Nicole’s brother for most of her life. The fact that she went through this surgery, married a man, and has a family with him despite so many other things is amazing to us. It’s one of our favorite storylines of all.
When Stefanie Made it Clear What She Thought of Brooke
If every you’ve watched this show, you know that everyone always lets Brooke off the hook for everything. She can have an affair with her sister’s husband, marry a man she didn’t love, get married to a man she did love a million and two times, and so many other things, and she can do whatever she wants. She can encourage her daughter to steal another woman’s husband, and she can always find a friend and some sympathy in everyone. She’s a master manipulator, and everyone is always giving her a big pass on all of it. But that one time that Stefanie faked a heart attack so she could tell Ridge to dump Brooke and move back with his old wife, Brooke was not amused. But we loved that Stefanie used the opportunity that she was set up to tell all at another wedding to make her look bad as a way to continue to make Brooke look bad by asking everyone to stop giving her a pass and to stop making her look like the good person in front of everyone else.
It did make us happy in every way. It was beyond amazing, and we didn’t know that she had it in her. It was a great moment, and she did ask that everyone stop letting her get away with so much. Brooke manipulates them, treats them all poorly, and they all continue to give her a pass on all of it. We loved it.
When Ridge Proposed to Taylor Instead
Does anyone remember that one fashion show in which Ridge was going to propose to Brooke while she modeled a beautiful wedding gown that was designed just for her, but then he found out she was cheating on him with his friend? She knew he was going to propose to her while she wore that gown, and she was so excited. Except, he found out. She didn’t get to wear it, and he let Taylor wear it instead, and then he asked Taylor to marry him. The moment was epic, and it reminds us of this show and how it works. If you don’t ask someone to marry you because it doesn’t work out, you don’t simply divorce them. You ask someone else to marry you instead, because you apparently have no life choices about being free and single. If you were going to propose, you can’t just not propose. You just find another person to ask to marry you instead. It’s how it goes.
