Austen Kroll may not have been one of the original cast members of Bravo’s Southern Charm, but there’s something about him that makes it feel like he’s been on the show forever. That being said, adjusting to being a reality TV star hasn’t always been easy for Austen. Since joining the series in season four, Austen has gone through many highs and lows in his personal and professional life. Nevertheless, he appears to be embracing the journey. 1.He’s Not Originally From Charleston
Some of the cast members on Southern Charm can trace their Charleston roots back several generations, but Austen isn’t one of them. He originally hails from North Carolina but found himself in Charleston after college. His family still resides in North Carolina.
2. He Appeared In Another Bravo Show
Austen definitely doesn’t seem like the kind of person who plans on hopping from one reality show to the next; however, Southern Charm isn’t the only show he’s ever made an appearance in. He also featured in the series Summer House, which also airs on Bravo.
3. He Loves Golf
Sports have always been an integral part of Austen’s life, and they still are. He enjoys watching a wide range of sports, including football and baseball, and as expected, he cheers for North Carolina teams whenever possible. When it comes to playing sports, however, Austen is an avid golfer. He likes to hit the course regularly and enjoys playing at different courses with his friends.
4. He Is Somewhat Private
Being on a reality TV show doesn’t necessarily mean that a person wants the whole world in their business. Outside of what he shares on the show, Austen appears to be quite a private person. Craig said, “10 months ago, I was living in a house decorated by a professional decorator and I really felt like an adult. It was amazing. Then, a plumber came for a routine checkup and there was a broken pipe; asbestos got blown all over my house, and now I cannot live there until the asbestos is gone. So instead, I’m living with Austen [Kroll].”
7. He Loves To Travel
There are some people who are perfectly content not venturing too far from home, but Austen isn’t one of them. He loves to travel and has been fortunate enough to have a lifestyle that has enabled him to do just that. Over the years, he has visited many places, including Cuba, Italy, and Bermuda.

Austen is the founder and owner of the South Carolina-based beer brand, King’s Calling. Originally, his beer was only available on tap, which made it extremely difficult for him to sell his product during the quarantine when bars and restaurants were closed. However, he recently started selling canned beer, and so far the response seems to be positive.

Any time a person signs up for a reality show, they can never be certain of what they are getting themselves into. Of course, nobody wants to be portrayed in a negative light, but it can happen. Drama that transpired during his relationship with cast member Madison LeCroy has resulted in Austen being anything but a fan favorite.
