The Bold and the Beautiful fans watch the show specifically because there are so many plot twists and situations that don’t let us get too bored. This is a show about love and romance and about people who are just so beautiful they can do whatever they want and eventually find forgiveness from all the people they hurt and made miserable. It’s like the craziest thing that ever happened. But we all know that there is so much to this that will never make sense, and we are listing our favorite, most insane, most did not see that coming at all kind of story lines that happened around here. Bridget and Ridge
Raise your hand if you thought that Bridget Forrester was actually the daughter of Ridge and Brooke for so many years. He raised her like she was his daughter, and that was as thing that was normal. But then it turned out that he was not her father after years of raising her as his own. Sheila came to town and she made sure that he knew that Bridget was not, in fact, his daughter, but that she was his sister. His own father had this baby with Ridge’s wife, and that was ugly. So now he had a daughter who turned into his sister, and that was a long time of being that kind of family. And then it turned out years later that Eric was not Bridget’s father, either. In fact, the man she thought most of her life was her father and then learned was her brother was not at all related to her, and then they began their own relationship. And we were all grossed out. They might not be related by blood, but she thought he was her father for most of her life and he thought she was his daughter for most of her life. The fact that this changed to the point of being romantic is about the most disgusting and horrible thing we’ve ever seen or heard. We are still getting gross chills from this one.
Hope’s Boyfriend and Brooke
Remember that time Hope was just a young girl with a boyfriend with whom she refused to become sexually involved? She wasn’t looking to lose her virginity and become her mother, who she loves but simply did not want to be like. She just wanted to be with him in a very pure way. And she didn’t want Steffy to steal him from her like she liked to do with her other boyfriends. But then they all went to a masquerade ball one night and things turned into a big mess. Hope’s boyfriend thought that Brooke was Hope, and Brooke thought Hope’s boyfriend was Ridge, and they had sex. It was beyond ugly and unfortunate, and we still don’t get how something like that is even remotely possible.
Hope and Liam’s Baby
This one is still playing out, so we will only briefly mention it. Liam had a baby with his wife, Steffy, but he actually got Hope pregnant when they were in the middle of a fight. He was going to marry Hope before they knew she was pregnant, but Steffy went into labor with his daughter, Kelly, and he realized he loves her and not Hope. And then Hope was pregnant, and then no one knew who loved anyone. He didn’t know what to do, so Steffy made the decision for him. She chose herself and her daughter, and told him to be with Hope because she was off the table as a potential wife. And then he married Hope, who was pregnant. She went into labor and blacked out, the doctor took her baby and replaced it with a dead baby (Where does one happen to find a dead baby, by the way?) and told them that their baby died during birth. Then he sold the real baby Hope and Liam had to Steffy telling her that she’s a baby whose birth mother wanted to give her up. Now Hope is beyond obsessed with Steffy’s new baby and wants her husband to leave her and be with Steffy so that his daughter and the new baby Steffy adopted get to have a real family — and no one yet knows that his baby is really the baby that Hope just gave birth to.
