General Hospital fans are big fans of the plot twists that go on throughout the year, but this has been one of those years that just doesn’t stop us from being amazing. The year is almost over, but that doesn’t mean that 2018 didn’t come with some of the biggest shockers we’ve seen in a long time on this show. We’ve seen things happen we did not see happen, things that are truly unbelievable, and things that really just make us question everything in life. It’s been amazing, and we have not been disappointed at all. That’s what we love so much about this show, along with the fact that we can take a moment just a few weeks before the year ends to sit back and reminisce about some of the plot twists we just did not see coming this year.
Kiki’s Death
This is fresh in our minds and our hearts, and we just cannot handle how this is going down. This is something that we are all struggling with right now, and we cannot get over it. It’s been a sad moment with a lot happening, and we just cannot handle it at all. We’ve been in a place that doesn’t seem to work for us at all, but we know that she will not come back. Her death was not one we saw coming. There was no hint that she would die. She was in the middle of a very crazy line with her mother and her boyfriend and a sister she didn’t know she even had, and that was something we thought would carry on. Unfortunately, she’s gone and done and she’s crushed the hearts of everyone in Port Charles with her death. It’s been a moment, and we are still upset.
Carly’s Gone
General Hospital fans are very much aware of the fact that many people are sent off and given a second chance to see things as they are, and we get that. But what really shocked us all is when Nelle’s awful and horrible plan really did work out for her. She was able to make it seem as if there is something going on with Carly’s mental state, and she’s good to go. But we do know that there is nothing we can do that will stop the horrible feelings she’s been having. She was sent to live at Ferncliff during a time when she was not in a good place. Her son was dead, her other son was having a baby with a woman who lied about sleeping with her own husband in an effort to get her to end her marriage, who pretended that she was the not-dead ghost of their dead son. She was awful, and she took a horrible toll on the lives of these people. But she’s gone, and hopefully she’s unable to take out anymore of the issues she’s having on anyone else. Though it does seem to us that she will do anything and everything in her power to ensure that she’s feeling good about all the things that are going on in her life.
Michael’s Baby Switch
Nelle was trying to kill him, he was trying to take her down, and they both lost. She had her baby in the woods, and she swapped it with Brad and Lucas’ dead baby so that Michael would never know that he is a father and that he does have a baby. It’s not good for him, but we hope that it will eventually all come out in the wash to seem like it’s something else entirely. We are hoping that the plan she created all falls apart at some other time. We hope that things do work out for him and that he eventually feels the need to find out that this is his baby. Not that it’s up to him, of course, but we suspect he knows that there is something special about this baby. It’s not going to change for him until he finds out that his son is alive — even if he is missing months of this baby’s life as a result of Nelle’s selfishness and awful behavior.
