We’ve been saying it for a while now. Ryan Serhant needed his own show. The gods of the Bravo network probably heard our pleas because Serhant now has his own spinoff, Sell It Like Serhant. We have to admit that it took a season or two before we took to Ryan’s charms on Million Dollar Listing New York. Nowadays, we acknowledge his sales genius and his striking good looks like we’ve always known. We feel like we’ve always known Ryan being that we’ve been following his career and life on MDLNY for 6 seasons now. But a new show just means new information, so here are five things you didn’t know about Sell It Like Serhant.
It’s not about real estate
We said earlier that Ryan is a sales genius. He can probably sell anything, and so he’s going to use his talents to help people who can’t sell anything for the life of them. The show will feature struggling merchants looking for help, and Ryan will come to the rescue with his sales counseling. We can already picture him and his smooth talk showing us how we can sell a pair of socks to strangers. We’ll take anything we can learn from the best.
It’s not all about the owners
The show is not just about business owners who are looking at the brinks of losing their companies. They’re about sales people–any type of sales people from whatever industry you can think of. It’s about workers who are failing to fulfill their quota at work or just those who can’t quite master the art of selling and customer service. Ryan is there to show them the ropes on becoming the master salesperson. Of course, it helps owners along the way, but the show doesn’t just focus on businesses that are losing money or are about to close.
Ryan will do anything
We think he’ll do absolutely anything. We’re not entirely sure if he’s contracted to try on prom dresses or ride trailer tractors around, but those are some of the things that we’ll see Ryan do on his new show. Basically, the point is that Ryan will do anything and everything; he will go above and beyond to help his client achieve their goals. And if that means he has to get waxed all over, Ryan is already all over it.
It gets really personal
If you think that we’ve seen Ryan personally on MDLNY, you’ve got a treat ahead of you in his new show. We’re going to see Ryan like never before because he’ll be interacting with people outside of the luxury brand and outside of the realty industry. He’s going to touch the lives of so many people on the show, and these people will probably equally touch Ryan’s heart back.
Ryan is co-EP for the show
Having Executive Producer status is a big deal, especially for Ryan. He happens to be one of the executive producers for the new show, which means that he probably has a lot of pull regarding what goes on air and what doesn’t, what gets the budget and what doesn’t, and whatever else. He has decision-making rights now, and we’re really happy for him.
