There’s not a lot that can make Conan go blank on his show since he’s seen and done so much over the years. But Jeff Goldblum playing with his Jurassic Park Funko Pops on the show seems like it might do the trick. Granted, Goldblum must have been feeling kind of good that night because he was kind of all over the place. Why this was the case is kind of odd but it’s Jeff Goldblum, he’s been an odd character for a lot of years and no one has seemed to notice. But if you notice how he plays with his Funko Pop characters, the one in particular, you might be kind of disturbed for a moment too. Then it might be okay to join in and laugh with him.
The Funko of him lying on his side with his shirt open is one of the more provocative Funko’s out there but it’s still pretty cool because unlike a lot of the others it hails from within the movie and shows something of what happened. A lot of the Funko Pop characters tend to be adorned in their uniforms and holding various implements from their movies or shows but you don’t tend to see a lot in different poses. This one is kind of special because it’s not just the pose, it’s the fact that it’s from Jurassic Park, the original movie. Goldblum has been a great actor since before the original movie, in fact just about everyone in the movie had a career before they signed on, but once the movie came out Goldblum’s stock just rose and rose. He’s become a legend at this point since he’s just that great. He has this weird way of acting around people that you don’t know if he’s a bit nutty or if he’s just really eccentric. Of course there’s a line in there somewhere separating the two but it’s hard to know just where it is.
Despite that he looks and sounds like he’d be a fun person to talk to simply because he would give you insights on the movies he’s been in and just be an all around card to be with during the discussion. That’s what makes him who he is however and that’s what makes him seem like such a fun guy. It could be that he’s really difficult to deal with off screen but it doesn’t seem that way. Instead he might be a lot of fun to just hang out with and talk to about just anything that came to mind. Throughout his movie and TV careers he’s been the guy that’s just kind of off the wall and does what he wants regardless of what people think because he’s on a different wavelength. That kind of frantic energy that he displays has been this thing for a long time now and it’s one of the defining characteristics that he’s used in order to become one of the most well known individuals in Hollywood.
