Kerry Bishe is an American actress that has been in films such as Halt and Catch Fire, Argo, and took over the lead role in Scrubs from Zach Braff. She’s been on the rise since 2007 and thus far has been sailing forward with a fairly successful career. Those that have seen her onscreen would probably agree that she is a very pleasing sight and seems to know what she’s doing, which is great since she’s a welcome addition to most anything she’s done. Kerry isn’t so widely known that she can go about making demands like other actors but she does have at least some pull in Hollywood and is only bound to get better.
Here are a few things you might not know about her.
5. She made her screen debut in 2007.
Kerry starred in the low budget production of The Half Life of Mason Lake. Before that she’d been in a traveling troupe until around 2006, doing what she could to hone her acting skills and make the best of what she could get. This seems to be the way that a lot of actors have come up and it’s kind of nice simply because it implies that a lot of them are still aware of what hard work is.
4. She was born in New Zealand.
Bishe was born there but moved with her family America where she would go to school and eventually off to college. There’s no reports of her moving back but it’s probably reasonable to assume that she might think of going back or actually go back on her spare time. It’s always fun to see where you were born if only for a visit sometimes, it reminds you of where you came from.
3. She’s played the onscreen spouse of Scoot McNairy twice.
Bishe played the onscreen wife to Scoot McNairy in Argo and Halt and Catch Fire. This seems to be a testament to the fact that these two have some kind of chemistry between them that can be used to a very strong advantage in a film. Whether they’ll act in the same production together again or not isn’t known but since it’s happened twice already it could happen again.
2. She was in Scrubs until it was canceled in 2010.
Bishe took over the narrator role from Zach Braff in 2009 when she came onto the crew and performed fairly well. A lot of viewers though were probably too used to Braff and his unique style and that could be one reason why the new season of Scrubs didn’t perform so well. A lot of fans get used to one thing and don’t want it to change. The show was unfortunately canceled in 2010.
1. She decided to take up boat-building.
Always willing to try something new, Bishe has decided she would like to take up boat building for the thrill of it. I’m not too sure how thrilling it’s going to be, but it could give her a huge sense of accomplishment if she manages to see it through.
Kerry Bishe is one to watch, she could be something special.
