Casting the Perfect Movie Biopic about Amazon

The movie “Social Network” was a brilliant portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg and his journey to create the highly popular social networking site “Facebook.” Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com has been just as successful in his pursuits. There needs to be a biopic about Amazon and the people who created the multi-million dollar online retailer. There is an interesting story behind its formation. Under the right director, this could be a massive success. Casting the perfect biopic about Amazon would look something like this.

Director

Steven Soderbergh, known for directing “Erin Brockovich” understands how to pull out every stop when it comes to taking characters to their full potential of development. He would excel in working with the true story of the genius who is credited with the creation of Amazon.com. Soderbergh has a feel for drawing important details of a real life story out and making them interesting for viewers.

Writer

Aaron Sorkin who served as writer for “Social Network” has a real feel for telling the life story of genius on the verge of discovery. He’d be perfect for delivering a script that hits all of the important highlights of the key people involved in the creation of the popular retail site. People always have a story but it must be told the right way to capture the essence of the situation and to let us know something special about the people involved in the venture. We like to have a story within a story so to speak. Sorkin has what it takes to tell the story and to tell it well.

Cast of actors

Jeff Bezos was born in 1964 in New Mexico. He is the father of four children along with his wife MacKenzie Bezos.  In our minds the perfect actor to play the character of Jeff Bezos is Kevin Spacey. The resemblance between the two is fairly remarkable, but this is not the most compelling reason. Kevin has the ability to pull off the role and although he’s four years Bezos’ senior, a little makeup can go a long way in age regression. Spacey understands how to look stressed and how to furrow his brow when he rolls up his sleeves to get to business.  Plus he’s already done “bald” in Superman Returns.

Chief Financial officer Warren Jensen could easily be portrayed by Jeff Bridges. Jeff can successfully pull of roles from Lebowski to the talented psychiatrist who tried to help his delusional patient in KPax. He does serious very well. He has the suit and tie look and the demeanor to represent the part of a CEO or CFO expertly. The plus to having him in the cast along with Spacey is that the two have an amazing chemistry on the set.

Jennifer Garner would be an asset to the cast as MacKenzie Bezos. She is beautiful, much like the wife of the Amazon executive. She can also pull of supportive and prepared to handle the children as her husband is knee deep in work commitments and making his projects a success.

This is merely a blueprint of some cast members that we think could help to skyrocket a biopic about Amazon.com to success.
