If Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Runs For President in 2020 He Will Win

The subject of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson picked up a little steam last week when Michael Moore sarcastically (I think?) mentioned that he thought the former WWE star and now high profile actor should be the next President of the United States.  The thing is, Johnson has already admitted in the past that a political future isn’t out of the cards.   But today things are getting even more interesting.    According to E! Online

Dwayne Johnson, whom you may know as the highest paid movie star on the planet and a pretty rad dad, is getting serious with GQ about a possible desire to run for President of the United States. “I think that it’s a real possibility,” confessed the Baywatch actor. “A year ago, it started coming up more and more. There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think ‘Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful.'”

In a candid interview with with men’s magazine Johnson voiced his opinion on the travel ban imposed by Donald Trump.

“I completely disagree with it,” he said without hesitation. “I believe in our national security to the core, but I don’t believe in a ‘ban’ that bans immigrants. I believe in inclusion. Our country was built on that, and it continues to be made strong by that.”

As for how he thinks our current president is doing so far?

“I’d like to see a better leadership. I’d like to see a greater leadership. When there’s a disagreement, and you have a large group of people that you’re in a disagreement with–for example, the media–I feel like it informs me that I could be better,” said Johnson. “We all have issues, and we all gotta work our s–t out. And I feel like one of the qualities of a great leader is not shutting people out. I miss that part. Even if we disagree, we’ve got to figure it out.”

When you think about it, this is no different than Arnold Schwarzenegger running for President.  The issue is, he’s not allowed to do it because he wasn’t born in the United States.  Johnson on the other hand is free to give the Presidential spot a go if he chooses.   If, and this is a big if, Johnson runs, I think he would pummel Donald Trump in 2020.
