Emma Watson is a name that’s soon to be mentioned even more so than it already is as soon as Beauty and the Beast hits theaters. But the main news in the last 24 hours has been about two Emmas. Turns out that Emma Watson was actually the early pick to be in La La Land. As we already know Emma Stone got the part and we all know what happened next. Stone got an Oscar for her performance in the movie. I’m sure Watson isn’t bitter in the least. She has an amazing career that will last at least another 20 years if she wants to. But there’s another 26-year-old actress who’s also starring in a new movie: Kristen Stewart.
Watson’s star is rising but I’m not sure she’s really taken on risky roles yet. Which leads me the main focus of this article. Who wins an Oscar first. Emma Watson or Kristen Stewart? Why do I pit these two against each other? They’re both 26 and both have been acting since a very young age. And both have been part of incredibly successful book to movie franchises. And BOTH are beginning to become extremely respected as talented actresses by the industry itself.
So who wins the Oscar first? I personally believe both will get Oscars at some point in their careers but I’m going with Kristen Stewart. She’s already showing Oscar talent and Watson still needs to take on some super risky roles, something that Stewart has already done. Stewart just needs that one part, that one super terrifying part that she knows she has to play that will pay off.
Watson will get around to it but I think not until her 30s. Stewart’s ready to take home an Oscar now.
