The imagination is a powerful thing. One should not trifle with it because it can cause more harm than good. In this week’s episode of Sleepy Hollow, we learn just how far a child’s imagination can go.
I think it’s perfectly normal for children to have imaginary friends as they grow up. Consequently, it’s quite another matter when they inadvertently summon a monster. This week’s monster is Molly’s childhood companion, Mr. Stitch, a green-haired, ragdoll-like creature. No offense, Molly, but he looks nothing like he does in your drawings.
Despite Molly’s inadvertent summoning of Mr. Stitch, I’m glad that the little girl got to take part in sending Mr. Stitch back to whence he came. That and Agent Thomas doesn’t have to give Ichabod an earful about making her daughter do something extremely dangerous. When Molly couldn’t pull the third lever and went off on her own, I was freaking out. What if Mr. Stitch finds her and harms her? If that happens, then Ichabod is as good as dead. We can’t have that, now can we?
After Molly finally found a way out of the tunnels, she meets Malcolm for the first time. The latter had seen a vision of him and the girl sitting at a table eating an elaborate dinner. Molly is sketching a portrait of Malcolm to give to him as a present. It seems that our immortal villain wants a daughter in his life and Miss Molly is the one he wants. To that, I say good luck because there is no way that Molly is going to go with someone like you, Malcolm Dreyfuss!
Jake Wells provided the comedic relief in this week’s episode. I shook my head in amusement as he banged on the locked vault gates and yelled at the top of his lungs to communicate with Ichabod. You are aware that you have a speaker system right, Master Wells? There’s no need to shout. Oh, and his comment about sitting presidents knowing about supernatural secrets? Do me a favor and don’t reveal them to the current one.
The introduction of Claudia Russell intrigues me. She is the last agent of Agency 355 but left. Furthermore, Claudia is also the one who put in the extra security measures on the Vault gate. I’m curious to know more about her in the coming episodes. Shame Claudia herself is not alive to tell the tale. That and I want to know who Michael is. Was he a part of the Agency too?
