I’m pretty psyched to watch MasterChef Junior season 5 and I’ll tell you why. First of all, I’ve never seen the show, ever. Second of all, the Super Bowl. Of all the ads that I saw during the Super Bowl, the one ad for MasterChef Junior actually sold me on watching the FOX cooking show. When you think about it, how many primetime shows starring none other than children have made it? Pretty much none. But MasterChef Junior is in its fifth season.
If I’m going to escape the daily grind of writing over 30 articles a day on this site (which I do), then it’s going to be watching Gordon Ramsay yell at a bunch of 8-13 year-old kids vying to be the next culinary master of our time. Hearing those kids scream! It’s bedlam I say.
By the way, does this picture up top totally remind you of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? Clearly that’s the effect they’re going for and it’s working. Plus it kind of fits doesn’t it? Gordon Ramsay certainly isn’t normal and he had no qualms about putting little kids in their place. I don’t want to get all fan theory here, but man, is this show modeled after the movie? Wow.
