Omarosa Manigault has recently been appointed as The Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liasons in Donald Trump’s White House. You might remember that Omarosa was a contestant on The Apprentice during Trump’s tenure as host and main “CEO” of the show. As you might expect, Manigault has been in the spotlight recently being barraged with questions about her appointment. However, perhaps no more fiery than her first appearance on “The View” in over 13 years.
Sunny Hostin asked her to respond to criticisms that Trump had used the former “Apprentice” contestant during the campaign to mask callousness towards the African American community. “First of all, no one uses me,” Manigault said. “I am the embodiment of the American dream. I grew up on welfare, on Section 8 housing, my father was killed when I was 7 years old, I went to public schools… I earned my way to sit in the White House. No one gave me anything, okay?”
Things didn’t get much better after that. Joy Behar then went on the attack about Omarosa’s support of the current President. The entire segment lasted 13 minutes and Omarosa refused to answer questions that had little to do with her own agenda.
It looks like Omarosa is going to have to get used to this line of questioning, especially if she intends to spend 4 years in the Whitehouse. It’s only going to get more prickly from here.
Here are two videos of the segment
