It’s a devastating week for those who live in Salem on Days of Our Lives. It turns out that there are people looking to harm even the most innocent residents of the city, such as sweet baby Thomas. This little boy already lost his mother — though his family will likely find out later this week that mommy dearest is still alive when Jennifer’s mother shows up on her door with news of her granddaughter’s fate — and now it seems that Clyde is looking to take this baby from Chad. Chad is already feeling as if he is unfit to parent the little boy following the loss of his wife. He wants to give the baby to his mother-in-law, Jennifer in hopes that she can give him a much better life than he can give the boy. We don’t know how well that will work, but we have to believe that Chad will not allow anything bad to happen to his son.
It turns out that Clyde has another thought in mind. He wants to take the baby and take him to his own father, who is as crazy as you might imagine. Chad is going to work with some of his friends to make sure that never happens. However, we aren’t sure that he will be able to make it happen without a little drama. He’s already working with Kate to help him with the baby. He wants her to make sure she can help him rebuild his father’s business and his successful empire. He wants his son to be able to run the business when he is old enough, and he wants to give something to his son so that he remembers him as being a good father even though he feels he is not fit to be one on his own accord. It’s a tragic situation for Chad at the moment, but we do believe that he might be able to move on with his life when he finds out that Abigail is really alive and might come back to his family. All he needs is a little bit of hope.
