2016 TCA Awards: Nominees Include The Americans, People v. O.J., Mr. Robot & More

The Americans - TCA Awards

On Wednesday, the Television Critics Association announced its nominees for the 32nd annual TCA Awards, and they include many familiar names, such as Game of Thrones and The Americans, but also quite a few newcomers. In fact, freshman series Mr. Robot and The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story lead all other shows with four nominations each.

Right behind Mr. Robot and The People v. O.J. were The Americans, Master of NoneUnREAL, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which each nabbed three nods apiece. Both UnREAL and The Americans are nominated for “Program of the Year,” and Keri Russell garnered an “Individual Achievement in Drama” nod for her performance. Meanwhile, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Master of None are represented in the “Outstanding Achievement in Comedy” and “Outstanding New Program” categories, along with both Aziz Ansari and Rachel Bloom receiving nominations for their individual work on the shows.

When it comes down to which network received the most nominations, that would be HBO with 12 in total. However, FX/FXX was right behind HBO with 11 nominations.
