Unfortunately, Limitless will be limited to only one season. The CBS procedural, which starred Greek‘s Jake McDorman and Dexter‘s Jennifer Carpenter, has officially been cancelled.
The news comes from Limitless executive producer Craig Sweeny, who posted a tweet last night about the status of the show. While CBS wouldn’t call the freshman series “cancelled” during its Upfronts presentation last week, the network admitted that it was shopping Limitless around to other networks and streaming platforms. Unfortunately for fans of the show, those potential Season 2 plans won’t become a reality.
“I’m truly sad to report that Limitless will not continue on any platform,” Sweeny wrote. “Thanks so much to everyone who watched.”

Colin Salmon as Jarrod Sands, and Ron Rifkin as Dennis Finch. Its Season 1 finale, now series finale, aired back on April 26.
