Derive: Wandering Under The Neon Lights Of Tokyo

I am Cody Ellingham, a designer and art director based in Tokyo, Japan.

I first came to Tokyo in 2012. From the very beginning the city inspired me. I wandered through the urban landscape and neon fantasies of the world’s first cyberpunk city; A metropolis of technological marvel and tradition, a forest of powerlines hanging over an ancient shrine, a lonely alley illuminated by a million burning lights.

To DERIVE is to drift through the world, to see the future. I use reflection and unique perspectives to explore the city.
