WWE wrestling is about so much more than who wins in the ring. There are many different elements that make up the whole entertainment package for the live audience and the viewers at home. Some of these include the commentary, the music, and the entrances of the wrestlers. One of the most important factors of the performances is the moves of the wrestlers and some are more acrobatic than others. In fact, there are many WWE wrestlers who are known more for their moves than they are for whether they win or lose.
Here are some of the most acrobatic WWE wrestlers of all time.
1. Sin Cara
In Mexico, he was known as Mistico but on the United States WWE scene Sin Cara has really made a name for himself. He has become particularly well-known for launching himself into the air, high above the ring before descending in an attack on his opponent. Some of his regular moves include the slingshot corkscrew, the moonsault and hurricanranas. WWE commentators sometimes nickname him ‘The Faceless’ due to the mask he wears that completely obscures his facial features.
2. Rey Mysterio
Rey Mysterio is commonly referred to as the greatest high-flyer in the history of WWE and became one of the most popular stars of the WWE. He is famous for the way he darts around the ring, launching his attack on his opponent with a series of quick maneuvers. Some of the acrobatic moves he regularly includes in his ring repertoire include springboard moves, crossbody variations and a variety of headscissors moves. However, he is probably most famous for performing one of the best hurricanranas ever seen in WWE.
3. Ultimo Dragon
Ultimo Dragon adopted many moves in the style of Luche Libre, possibly because of the years he spent in Mexico. His fast-paced moves would put many athletes and gymnasts to shame. Any majestic or dizzying move you can think of has been performed by Ultimo Dragon. Furthermore, he has even created many specialist moves of his own. Two of these are the standing shiranui and the Asai moonsault. He was the master of not just delivering a single amazing move, but combining several acrobatic maneuvers in incredible displays.
4. TAKA Michinoku
