1600 Penn 1.09 “Game Theory” Review

1600-Penn-Game-TheoryLooks like Skip had another shot with Stacy. His plan was to get her to love him by showering her with rose peddles. I’m guessing Skip just saw Coming to America and wanted to give Stacy the King Jaffe Joffer treatment.

Emily thought she could unskip Skip, but turns out that made regular Skip a complete hot mess of a man. Emily got Skip’s secret service agent to hand him his ear pierce and Emily pretty much Cyrano de Bergerac’d Skip’s date. But in true Skip fashion, it all went to hell. The thing with Skip is that he loves too hard. Case in point, showing up at Stacy’s house singing Ella Fitzgerald’s sultry version of “Fever” and culminating the performance by popping a balloon full of rose petals over his head. It was a no-brainer that Stacy wanted nothing to do with Skip after that. Will Skip ever find somebody to love?

Meanwhile, D.B. and Becca were clashing yet again on the fact that they are two completely different people. When the hell are these two going to get over their issues and fall for one another? After a paint fight, Becca hopped on the D.B. train and started a make out session. It looks like these two might just be falling into like very soon.

Here’s the deal: I really like 1600 Penn, but I have a huge feeling that once NBC has aired the first season’s 13 episodes, I don’t suspect them to renew it for a second season. Not only has Robbie Amell (D.B.) score a role on the CW pilot The Tomorrow People, Benjamin Stockham has landed the lead role in NBC’s About A Boy pilot.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that NBC gives this show the same chance it gave Community.
