Recently we shared a $1,400 Goro replica that is being made available to only 150 buyers. I questioned our viewers if they’d ever buy such a thing. Zero responded with a “yes.” Today I present to you another replica product with a hefty price tag. If you ever want to look like you bagged a female T-Rex then you can buy this one for $650. This replica trophy that comes to us from Chronicle Collectibles and is modeled from the original Jurassic Park film.
The 1/5 scale bust was created using an original casting of a female T-Rex from Stan Winston Studios, which built all of the animatronic characters for the blockbuster film. It is also finished with a custom paint job by artist Steve Riojas, who was responsible for matching the animatronic’s skin textures and colors. The bust measures 19-inches long, and is currently available for pre-order for a whopping $650 with an expected release during the 4th quarter of 2017.
With the production of Jurassic World underway, these “trophies” may very well sell out. Though I have to say I don’t think I’d pay more than $10 for one of these. $650? Really? Does this thing spit out gold coins too? That’s a lot of dough for a T-Rex head that’s frankly kind of scary if you put it on your wall.
