It’s Christmas in June, folks!
Amazon MGM Studios has just released the much-anticipated trailer for the holiday action-adventure flick Red One. This star-studded film features big names like Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, and J.K. Simmons, who brings his unique take on Santa Claus.
A Synopsis Mired in Festive Chaos
The official synopsis quite intriguingly sets up the story. After Santa Claus (Simmons) – Code Name: ‘Red One’ – is kidnapped, the North Pole’s Head of Security (Johnson) must team up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter (Evans) in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas.
Transformative Toy Store Antics
One standout scene from the trailer shows Johnson taking an ordinary Hot Wheels car from a toy store and using some high-tech Christmas magic to turn it into a full-sized Chevy Corvette. Meanwhile, Evans cynically asks a cashier, You don’t have a Wonder Woman action figure, do you?
, only to be met with Johnson’s impatient bark, Not how it works, come on!
An Ensemble Cast That Sparks Interest
The comedic yet thrilling chemistry doesn’t end with the leads. Red One also stars Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll and Wesley Kimmel. These supporting actors aim to enrich the film with diverse performances.

Dwayne Johnson took to social media Monday morning to unveil the film’s poster. The poster creatively casts Simmons’ Santa as a wanted man with an urgent appeal from Callum Drift of The E.L.F.:All points alert to everyone around the world— be on the lookout for this man.
