Silly you.
You thought that there were no LOST spoilers left to be had, didn’t you? You thought that “The End” was really the end, right?
You couldn’t have been more wrong. LOST has one more episode up its sleeve. It’s a mini-episode though; it’s only around twelve minutes long, and it is only slated to feature two main cast members of the series: Michael Emerson and Jorge Garcia. For the uninitiated, that’s Ben and Hurley, respectively.
The twelve-minute featurette will be called “The New Man in Charge,” and obviously refers to Hurley. But if you’re thinking that it’ll take place just in the jungle, with Ben and Hurley shooting the breeze, you’re very wrong. I empathize with you, because that’s what I thought, but it isn’t. According to the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, it’s much more.
The vignette, according to EW’s interview with Michael Emerson, has Ben “going around to Dharma installations and closing some down.” This will lead to “some good surprises,” and will also “answer questions.”
Now, it might just be me, but this is confusing. Is Ben time-travelling? “Dharma installations” is a very vague phrase, so I can’t say I know if it means going to stations on the Island (back in time), or heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan, in the present day. This picture doesn’t give any of that away, but features Ben standing in the same room as a shocked-looking Dharma worker, complete with the jumpsuit.
While this spoiler did excite me, I still have no idea what’s going on, and if anything, I’m just more perplexed.
“The New Man in Charge,” will appear on both the season six DVD and the complete collection DVD on August 24. You can pre-order both through here.
