10 Things You Didn’t Know About Katie Hopkins

In the history of the world there are a lot more stories about men being savage with their opinions it would seem than women, but in case you missed out for the last several years, Katie Hopkins hasn’t been shy about voicing her opinion when asked and she’s held no punches when discussing pretty much anything. Having been seen on talk shows and YouTube videos around the globe it’s not hard to see just why some people have such an issue with her, and yet it’s hard to fully condemn her since some of things she says do make sense. There’s no doubt that she’s an avid fan and supporter of President Trump, but at the same time those that don’t like what she has to say, and there are more than a few, tend to find themselves drawn into arguments where they either can’t make a firm rebuttal or are so flabbergasted by her stance that they simply can’t bring the words to condemn her no matter how they try.

Here are a few things about Katie you might not have known.

10. She was a big fan of the military as a child.

Katie had a serious love for everything military and even attempted to go through the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. The only thing that stopped her from receiving a commission was the fact that she suffered and epileptic seizure during the final ceremony. She’d hidden this as long as she could but it came out at just the wrong time.

9. When it comes to controversial remarks she’s not shy at all.

Katie simply speaks her mind and while it’s not always polite or even pleasant to listen to when she does speak the truth is that she does tend to make a good point now and again but in a fashion that many would call rude and even boorish. Still, she does stand her ground and doesn’t bow to anyone.

8. She is notoriously anti-Islam.

You might say that this is a very difficult discussion to have with anyone since some folks believe that Islam is not the problem and others would vehemently argue against such a notion. But as with all things Katie does stand firm and has been called out many a time for this view since it isn’t entirely popular in some crowds.

7. It’s pretty easy to see that she’s not a big fan of feminism.

Believe it or not there are a lot of women that are against 3rd wave feminism since they don’t believe that the extremists are asking for equality any longer, but instead are demanding extra rights in many cases. Katie happens to think that women don’t want equality any longer, they want something more than that.

6. Unfortunately, some of her comments do paint her as a hypocrite.

She did manage to speak out against people naming their children by geographical names, cities, towns, etc., but she does have a daughter named India, which is kind of a hard pill to swallow since it doesn’t put her in the nicest light considering her own words.

5. People have accused her of fat-shaming.

To be honest there’s no need to accuse her since she has been rather open about how she feels when it comes to heavier people and their insistence need to be seen in a more positive light in society. She’s not going to sugarcoat anything for anyone obviously.

4. She’s openly feuded with several different celebrities.

Katie doesn’t really seem to care who she’s speaking to since her mind is going to be laid out plain and simple, and as a result she’s feuded with the likes of Kelly Osbourne, Russell Brand, Piers Morgan, and even Perez Hilton just to name a few.

3. Katie was accused of libel at one point.

This isn’t too surprising since she’s bound to call things as she sees them and wrongly accused Jack Monroe of vandalizing a war memorial. She didn’t apologize for this but she did admit that she was mistaken.

2. Her net worth is estimated at around $4 million.

It doesn’t matter where you’re from, that’s a lot of money. If you’re surprised that a person who ticks people off for a living can make that kind of money then you haven’t been paying attention for, well, ever.

1. She’s in her 40s at this time.

There are plenty of memes on the internet alluding to her age and the ages of other celebrities and how good the others look. For one, that’s what personal trainers and a lot of bodily enhancements can do, and two, people tend to age differently.

Having just taken to watching her this year it’s a constant back and forth of ‘wow, can’t believe she said that’ to ‘oh wow, she laid that person right out’. Katie is undeniably savage with her comments, but sometimes in the best of ways.Russell Brand
