How to Complete Season of the Splicer Week 4 Challenges in Destiny 2

week 4 challenges destiny 2

A brand new season of Destiny 2 brings forth a brand new batch of seasonal challenges in Season of the Splicer! We’ve been in Season of the Splicer for just about a month now, and that means we’ve got a month’s worth of challenges to complete! Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like a complete and total copy and paste of the Season of the Chosen challenges (as of now) except for some of the destination and playlist specific challenges here and there. So, how can you go about getting your hands on some cool new rewards, seasonal XP, and other sweet loot? Find out how to complete the challenges for Season of the Splicer week 4 in Destiny 2 right here!

Provocation

In order to complete the “Provocation” challenge in Destiny 2, you’ll need to speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer IV, and defeat Champions anywhere in the system. You’ll need to defeat a total of 40 Champions, though you can earn bonus progress by defeating Champions within Override or Expunge. Completing this Destiny 2 challenge will reward you with x2 Extra Large XP and 150 Decrypted Data that you can use to decrypt Umbral Engrams or upgrade your Splicer Gauntlet.

Ethereal Splicer II

Completing the “Ethereal Splicer II” challenge in Destiny 2 will require you to collect Ether by playing strikes, Gambit, Crucible, Public Events, and doing just about anything in the game. This follows last week’s challenge that required you to collect 600 Ether, and like last week’s challenge it is retroactive, meaning you won’t actually have to collect 1,200 Ether if you’ve already collected that much beforehand. If you complete this challenge, you’ll be rewarded with some seasonal XP that you can use to increase your rank and earn rewards within the Season of the Splicer Season Pass.

Trials of the Tinker

If you want to complete the “Trials of the Tinker” seasonal challenge, you’ll need to unlock 12 artifact mods from the Paradrome Cube seasonal artifact. Personally, I would make sure that you’ve got your Champion mods unlocked before anything else (make sure you have options!) and you’re definitely going to want to work up to the final column mod “Breach and Clear” which states “When using a Grenade Launcher, damaging a boss, damaging a Champion, or breaking a combatant’s shield reloads your stowed weapons and causes the combatant to take increased damage for a short duration.” Seriously, this mod is nasty as Aztecross would put it, and it’s a must have for this season.

Precision Calibration

In order to complete this challenge, you’ll need to defeat 200 combatants with Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Linear Fusion Rifles with precision final blows. If you hop into Crucible, you’ll get some bonus progress against Guardians, but I wouldn’t recommend doing so if Stasis is still running rampant (as of writing this, we’re still 2 days out from the Stasis nerf). Getting 200 precision kills with these weapon types and completing this challenge will reward you with x2 Extra Large XP and some Bright Dust to spend in the Eververse store.

Momentum Crash

Defeating Guardians in Momentum Control is the name of the game in this challenge! You’re going to need to defeat a total of 75 Guardians in Momentum Control. 75! While this seems like a big number, you will earn bonus progress with Zone Advantage, and if you full send it with everything you’ve got, it should only take you a few games to complete. Completing this challenge is pretty rewarding as it will reward you with x2 Extra Large XP and some Bright Dust.

Draconian Protocol

This challenge reads “Defeat the Wyvern boss in Override, and defeat powerful Vex anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for Vex defeated in Override or Expunge.” You’ll need to defeat a total of 200 powerful (yellow bar) Vex if you want to get the x2 Extra Large XP, 150 Decrypted Data, and Lore page reward from this challenge.

Fusion Rifle Splicer

In order to complete this Destiny 2 challenge, you’ll need to defeat 150 combatants with Fusion Rifles in Override or Expunge, but you can take that number down by earning bonus progress by rapidly defeating them. The reward for completing this challenge is Extra Large XP.

Contender’s Delve

You’ll need to channel your inner Guardian to complete this challenge by completing a Lost Sector on Legend or higher. The good news is that you don’t have to solo this if you don’t want to, though it might be worth it for a chance at an Exotic armor piece. You will earn x2 Extra Large XP and some Bright Dust for completing this challenge

High-Value Hunter

We’re heading back to Gambit for this challenge! You’ll need to defeat 75 powerful combatants in Gambit to complete this challenge, but you can earn bonus progress for defeating high-value targets, so it won’t be all that bad. The reward for this challenge is x2 Extra Large XP and some Bright Dust.

Vanguard Chosen

We’ve come to the final challenge for week 4 in Season of the Splicer and all you need to do is complete 3 Nightfall strikes on Hero difficulty or higher. Doing so will reward you with x2 Extra Large XP, some Bright Dust, and a Nightfall weapon!

Come back next week for the week 5 Destiny 2 challenges in Season of the Splicer!Stasis nerf
