Young and the Restless fans know that so many things happen that don’t make a lot of sense. We all know, for example, that there are people who cannot make the right choices, who cannot get it together, and how cannot come back into the lives of others without making some serious changes first. We do love the men of this show, and part of our love for them comes from the fact that they are so good at what they do. They make an effort to get their lives together and do some good things. They make it goal in their lives to be there for one another, and they do sometimes make some positive changes. We want to discuss some of our favorite male character transformations over the years.
Cane
Here’s what we love about Cane. He’s managed to make some serious strides in his life even if most people don’t bother to see what they want to see. He’s gone from being a jerk to being a great husband to being a man who made a mistake he was unaware he was making to being a man who made the biggest mistake of his life by lying and almost ruining his family. He is now the most supportive and wonderful husband to his wife, who happens to be in jail for accidentally killing her brother’s wife in a car accident. And we love the changes he has made. He’s someone who cannot get things to change for the better without changing for the worst, first. But he did what he did, and he made it work for him. We appreciate that. We love that. We want to see more of that. We love that he is making such beautiful strides in his own life. He’s a good man.
Devon
He’s been back and forth for a long time, but it’s his sudden coldness that we noticed. He has always been a man who has looked out for himself before anyone else. He’s been a man who has made it his mission in life to succeed, which often means he has to make choices and do things that aren’t the best options. And he knows that. He knows that sometimes he has to do things that don’t make great sense. He has to do things that don’t make him very popular or well-liked. He has to do things that don’t really work out for him in any manner other than the manner that makes him an unhappy man.
But he’s changed so much since he took Hilary back and they made a baby. He became loving and kind and sweet. He became a man who was not only a good man, but also a happy man. He also became the kind of man who did things his own way, and he made sure that he was able to find his happiness. But when that happiness was taken from him, he also made it his mission in life to shut his doors. He turned cold as ice and put his sister in jail. It was astonishing and unbelievable to us that he would do that, and we just sat back and realized that things changed for him.
Jack
Overall, he’s always been about the same, but he changes so much. He goes through cycles when he is friendly and kind to everyone in is life. He goes through cycles in which he is basically a monster who cannot make good decisions or do things that make much sense at all. He’s not a man who changes for anyone but himself, but he does change a lot. This year has brought a lot of change into his story, too. When he found out he was not an Abbott, he was crushed. He went on a raging nightmarish kind of situation, and he really didn’t do well when it all went down. He eventually came back around and was himself again, and that’s all because he found out that he is, after all, an Abbott. Of course, he’ll never be friendly with his sister again. She kept that from him when she knew it was killing him on the inside, and it’s been ugly.
